Carp or Bass?

Guided bass fishing at Damon's Seven Lakes

In Houston for a business trip and interested in getting in a little fesh water fly fishing? New to Houston and looking for places to bass fish? Join me for a guided trip to Damon's Seven Lakes, about an hour from downtown Houston. All the gear and flies provided.

Mike Arnold, the owner of Damon's Seven Lakes, has extended a special offer to those taking a break by fishing at Damon's Seven Lakes. Get access to Seven Lakes at half the normal day rate. Damon's Seven Lakes is a beautiful one-of-a-kind private fishing club located in Damon, Texas. Just off Hwy 36 between Rosenberg and West Columbia, Seven Lakes is only about 50 miles from downtown Houston. Contrary to the name, it has eight unique lakes that hold largemouth bass, tiger bass, catfish, and bluegill. Catching bass in the three to five pound range is a normal occurrence. Some of Mike's members prefer to flyfish for the large bluegill that the lakes hold, some weighing in at over two pounds!

Carp on the Bayou

The Bayous around Houston have some pretty decent size carp if you can manage the idea of fishing in a channelised stream. Based on water temperatures and flows the grass carp can be stacked up in Braes Bayou and I offer a guided trip to 'Stella Links Flats' to chase the carp.
